SKIN CARE BALANCING FACIAL TONER
Toner, to be deemed adequate for our invaluable skin, needs to be foremost gentle, which is rather rare. Irritation, stinging or immediate dryness would be the first signs to the contrary. Another pleasant and healthy attribute is natural and specifically organic ingredients. Lily Skin Care is particular about being 100% organic in all its products. Lily contains chamomile as a calming ingredient and organic comfrey that, according to the people at Lily, is the best anti-wrinkle ingredient in the world. The brand makers proudly call themselves farmers and have a certified organic farm and laboratory in Colorado

SUGAR SCRUB
If you don’t exfoliate both the face and body once a week then reconsider your whole skin care regimen because you may be carrying a weight of dead skin that prevents it from shining, renewing and fully absorbing the nutrients that are topically applied. The award-winning Tree Hut Sugar Scrub is made with organic shea butter, avocado oil and safflower seed oil, which all contain free radical fighting antioxidants. For my own use, I picked the passion fruit and guava scrub, as both have the scent and the vitamins I opt for.

GROOMING SPRAY
My first question was what is a grooming spray? Well it turns out it’s something between what we ladies are used to calling a volume booster and styling gel, only light, allowing an immaculate styling as it makes hair more orderly. Unlike thick gels, it will not weigh hair down and doesn’t give the impression of an overload of hair product; it leaves hair looking lively. Used mainly for men’s grooming needs, Layrite is a salon brand, which is now available to anyone and anywhere.

Simple

EYE MAKEUP REMOVER PADS
Having reviewed one too many makeup removers in their entire assortments, I have never been fully satisfied with one. One big trouble with all makeup removers is applying to delicate skin on and around the eyes continuously and vigorously and still waking up the next morning with eyeliner and mascara under the eyes.

In my experience, even removers designed specifically to remove waterproof mascara won’t remove even regular mascara. So far, “Simple” has done a better job than most and most importantly worked faster, at least for my eyeliner and mascara. Another pleasant attribute is the size of the package and the pads, not just for travel, but for home use as well. The oversized sheets that presoaked makeup removers usually come in don’t make much sense to me, or my eyes. It’s also safe and non-stinging for those with contact lenses.

Suki

RESURFACING ENZYME PEEL
Suki sections this peel into their “masque” category although enzyme peels are usually found compared to or are a replacement for scrubs. They are both used for the same purpose but work in different ways. Both may cause irritation if used improperly or aren’t chosen according to the right type of skin.

The purpose of either is to exfoliate and renew skin by taking a layer of dead skin off the surface, hence overuse of either products can be vigorous on skin. Exfoliation helps eliminate flakiness and makes skin look a little younger, brighter and more radiant. Suki says this peel is a lighter, not-so-harsh version of a peel so it should be safe for sensitive and dry skin

Apply after using toner and before sunblock or moisturizer, depending on the time of day.
