For a professional athlete, injuries and pain are an inevitable part of training and competition routine, the price for pushing an envelope that allows one to skate on the edge of the highest levels in a highly developed competitive field.

But it couldn't be done without the help of professional equipment that facilitates speedy recovery and pain relief. When I was preparing for the 2016 World Championships in Boston, because of high-impact quadruple jumps that I had to practice daily, I developed recurring cartilage damage in my left ankle. A fellow skater, who happens to be editor in chief of HealthyLivinG, recommended a Lumen Photon Therapy unit, so I gave it a shot. Low level laser therapy utilizes a portion of the light spectrum that interacts with the body’s cells and rejuvenates them down to their DNA. Almost immediately after using Lumen, I felt improvements with my ankle and chronic pain and inflammation began to subside. It was achieved in a very short time, considering that I still had to train full-throttle with impactful jumps, spins, excessive and precise footwork and extreme off-ice exercise. Of course, the proof is in the performance. I would suggest visiting Youtube and watching my performance at the 2016 World Championships in Boston!
